The Content Security Gateway (CSG) 1000+ is designed to meet the anti-virus security requirements of medium enterprises and branch offices of large enterprises. The CSG 1000+ provides several levels of performance above the CSG 300 and can handle 54Mbps of HTTP traffic and 340,000 email messages per hour on SMTP. Mission-critical high availability is provided through fail-open and fail-over options.

The CSG 1000+ is a real-time gateway anti-virus appliance. It protects against viruses, worms,Trojan horses, spyware, phishing attacks, and other malware in real-time on HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, FTP, and HTTPS. The CSG 1000's patent-pending stream-based scanning technology enables scanning of previously undefended real-time protocols such as HTTP. Network activities susceptible to latency (e.g., web browsing) are no longer brought to a standstill. This level of performance was previously only made possible by clustering multiple units of less capable, more expensive appliances.To remain effective, the CSG 1000+ is supported by a world-class team of engineers and virus experts who maintain a signature library that includes all known viruses, as well as other malware. Signatures are automatically updated at least once each day, and critical new signatures are typically deployed hours before they are available from leading anti-virus vendors.

The CSG 1000+ is also refreshingly easy to manage. It includes an LCD display and keypad for ease of configuration and at-a-glance status checks. Users may also access the CSG 1000+ through a secure and intuitive web-based administration console in order to set granular policies and alerts, check summary statistics and graphical reports, and drill down to IP address-level data.
