SSL
VPN Solutions
The
NSP offers 3 Versatile Ways to Access Your Network
With three SSL access technologies in a single appliance,
the NSP provides a full-spectrum remote-access solution
that meets every application access type:
1. Access Remote Intranet and Web-based Applications
The Netilla Security Platform enables remote users to
securely access any corporate intranet, internal Web
application or portal from any location.
Features Benefits
Granular access control Controls access to Web directories,
servers and paths
Gateway portal protection Hides network topology from
unauthorized users
Web-object filtering Blocks unwanted web application
objects
(applets, ActiveX components, JavaScript)
Session control Delivers automatic session time-outs
2. Access Remote Client/Server Applications
Enables clientless remote access to any centrally
hosted client/server application, allowing users to
access authorized corporate resources from standard
Web browsers.
Features Benefits
Clientless browser-based operation Controls access to
Web directories, servers and paths
No VPN client software or application software required.
Eliminates version control, maintenance issues.
Universal application access Netilla’s unique
universal application protocol allows any
centralized application to be remotely accessed, including:
• Windows applications
• UNIX applications
• Linux applications
• 3270 (mainframe) applications
• 5250 (IBM AS/400) applications
Single applications portal Consolidates application
access and control into one secure
gateway, simplifying management
Performance optimized over any Internet connection Netilla’s
proprietary data compression technology ensures
optimal application performance over any Internet
connection, including dial-up.
3. Connect Local Desktop Applications to Remote
Servers for Data Exchange and Synchronisation
Users who need to work offline on their local
PC-based applications – such as Outlook, CRM,
sales tools or productivity applications – can
update their files and exchange data with corporate
applications. Netilla facilitates this by establishing
a browser-based, secure SSL tunnel with the remote server
whenever the user has Internet access. This mode gives
users the full functionality of their desktop applications
offline while allowing on-line updates with centrally
hosted data.
Features Benefits
Broad application support Allows any TCP or UDP application
on user’s PC to be
connected to remote server; UDP support enables
streaming audio/video applications
Dynamic session-based firewall Controls application
port availability on a
session-by-session basis
No client to configure Transparent Netilla virtual adapter
(requiring no user intervention)
Firewall traversal No firewall configuration: All traffic
travels over port 443,
already open for Web traffic
Network Address Translation (NAT) compatible No server
or network reconfiguration
