Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE)
CVEs are weaknesses or holes in your
network’s computers and other equipment that can
be exploited by hackers.
Known CVEs are catalogued and named
by MITRE Corporation. While MITRE is in the process
of researching a candidate CVE, the company creates
a name for the candidate. NetClarity treats candidates
with the same level of concern as it treats fully recognized
CVEs.
Removal of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures
(CVEs)
When
you remove weaknesses and holes in your computer systems
and equipment, you stop hackers from exploiting them.
How can you remove the CVEs?
- Audit
your systems for CVEs and get a report, using a vulnerability
management system, like NetClarity Auditor.
-
Open the report on the system with the issue and click
on the links provided to find more information or
download patches and other files that resolve the
problem.
-
Audit daily to be sure new CVEs do not occur.
